Monarchs upended in quarterfinals

Papillion-La Vista entered the Metro Tournament as the top seed last weekend, but the Monarchs couldn’t get key hits and lost to defending state champion Omaha Westside in the tournament quarterfinals Friday night.
The Monarchs (13-4 and currently ranked No. 6 in the state) left 12 runners on base in the 4-2 loss to the Warriors.
