T-birds rally past Marian

Bellevue West used a late 9-0 run to overcome a three-point deficit and defeat Omaha Marian 52-47 in the opening round of the Girls Class A State Tournament Thursday night at the Devaney Center in Lincoln.
West will face either Westside or Elkhorn in Friday’s semifinal game at 8:45 p.m.
Jalissa Felici hit two late 3-pointers to rally the Thunderbirds while Alexis Akin-Otiko led West with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
